Collaborative Planning Forms

Make sure that you are following the new Collaborative Planning Protocol and completing the new template as you hold your department meetings.  Department Meetings must be held once a month.

The new template is located in the "Useful Handouts" tab on this website
.  There a place for regular & inclusion teachers to sign.

Department Heads...Make sure you always discuss the following during your meetings:

  • Thinking Maps - Bring student examples to your meetings & share ways that they are being used in your department.  Turn in your examples to Ms. Morrow.
  • Student Data - Lexile Scores, Benchmarks, Common Assessments.  Share ways your teachers use this data to plan for instruction.

Each teacher needs to keep a copy of the completed template in the "Data" section of their teacher portfolio.

Inclusion teachers must attend the subject department meetings of the classes they are included.  If you have more than one prep, alternate when you attend that subject.  For example:  Coach Lusk includes in ELA, Math, S.S., & Science - She would attend an ELA meeting one month, a S.S. meeting the next month, a Math meeting the next month, a Science the following month, & start over
.

I thought that ESS teachers were choosing the subject they were with the most. I have 3 Science classes so I had planned on just attending all the Science meetings. Is this ok?

You have the most preps so you can go to all the science classes, especially since you teach science resource.
