MCHS has subscription to NetTrekker. It is an easy-to-use search engine designed for teachers and students to find quality educational websites. It saves time and effort for teachers looking for instructional resources. It has resources for academics, fine arts, CTAE, & foreign language.
My NetTrekker team is: Brittney Adams, Marco Burgueno, Will Queen, & Zach Talley. They will be training the academic departments. Fine arts/foreign language/CTAE, please browse the site and let me know if you would like additional information. I don't want to take up your time if there aren't a lot of resources for you department. You can search by standard, grade, image, etc. NetTrekker has a lot to offer. Like in TRL, you can also rate the resources. I have placed a quick link button on the homepage of my website. Let me know what you think!

For those who might be reluctant to use it, let me give my whole-hearted endorsement of Nettrekker. If you have ever used Google to search for a new lesson, project, or other resource, you should try Nettrekker instead. You will most likely get much more relevant and useful (and peer-reviewed) materials, and you won't have to wade through a bunch of stuff that is only tangentially related to what you are teaching.

I encourage everyone to take a look at it! I really like some of the resources that I have found. Searching for them is easy and you don't have to go through so many bad resources, like Will said.

We talked about NetTrekker in our department meeting this week and saw a lot of great resources we could use. I think this will be great whenever my classes get a chance to visit the computer lab for our next web quest.

I haven't had a chance to search with it yet, but I am looking forward to having teacher-reviewed activities without having to sort through the "junk" that I sometimes get with Google.

This seems to have many more resources than the tab for teacher resources in SLDS. Andrea, do you have a preference as to which one we use? Lots of good stuff for us to use!

Natalie & Angie...Thanks for attempting. Apparently, the NetTrekker representative hasn't created the CTAE, FA/FL accounts yet. I sent an email this morning. I will let you know when your accounts have been created.
