The student absences is very disappointing but I know that I have a lot of students who have missed more than 5 days.

I still don't think the attendance goals were too "lofty". Who could have predicted the amount of sickness we had this year? Congratulations Mr. Smythe.

Flu season took its toll on student attendance goals. Nothing you can do about. Students were still trying to come to school sick.

I think that the students being sick so much at the beginning of the year is one of the main reasons there are so many absences, and then so many know that they are not going to exempt, so they no longer care if they are at school ... unfortunately. Hopefully, next year we won't be getting sick as much.

She's a cute baby, Mr. Smythe, and I don't generally like babies. They all look like Winston Churchill to me!!!! :-) It's also good to see certified absences down. That must mean everybody is healthier! :-)

Congrats Coach Smythe, that's a good excuse to dip out of baseball practice! The discipline numbers are unbelievable! Five years ago, most would have considered those types of referral numbers a pipe dream.
