I concur with what Marco and Matt had to say about student absences; I hope that this trend keeps up throughout the year!

We had 2 more discipline referrals this September when compared to last September. I don't know the exact number but I do know we have more students this year so based on a percentage that should be a slight improvement.

I thought the same about more students meaning a lower percentage.

Students absences are encouragingly low. I Hope that continues. It looks like discipline is up a little though.

The crowds are making them a little more talkative and excitable. We just need to stay a visible presence with clear expectations.

The new absence policy is helping students understand the importance of coming to school.

I think we are all going to agree that student absences were much better the first month, but I have already seen an increase for this month.

It's good to see student absences are down. However, discipline referrals are up....maybe because they are here more? :)

Students absences were much better the first month, but it looks as if it has increased their discipline issues.

The percentage of students missing more than five days looks good. So much easier for students to learn and stay caught up when they are here consistently.

I'm not good with numbers, but with an increased enrollment (and a larger freshman class), only having 2 more referrals may actually show a decrease in percentage of students who are referred.

I'm sure the very slight uptick in student referrals is due to the increase in student body. I would like to see the % change in discipline referrals compared to the % change in student body. I would bet the comparison would show an improvement in discipline referrals per capita.

It is good to see absences down for both faculty and students! I think the reason discipline referrals because of the fact that more students are actually present to be referred. Still, not bad & I can think of a few repeat offenders that have raised that quota as well.
