The actual title was "8 Ways to Pose Better Questions in Math Class" but don't let that scare you away. These questioning techniques would apply to any content. Check it out - there are some great tips in this article . I especially liked tip 2, 3, and 5!
Thank you Mrs. Plemons for sharing!

I've had several teachers working on incorporating Padlet activities into their classroom. Hopefully, as they begin to see increased student interaction (Mr. Harris and Mr. Steele), they will share with me so I can include them on the Weebly for everyone to see! In the meantime, I found a quick video on Padlet that had several great ideas...take a look and be sure to comment! Don't forget to check out Dr. Terry's Tech Blog link on the right side of this page! http://tinyurl.com/h7zmxjq If you are trying out something new, please share! Shout out to Mrs. O'Dell for creating this spreadsheet where you can put in the SLO pre-test scores and it will tell you the score the student needs to make on the post-test in order to reach our target growth of 41%!!! After they take the test, you can put in their post-test score and it will show you the actual growth of the student.
Please do this for your classes and have those conversations with the students to inform them what they need to score on that post-test. This will be good information to share! The week for test administration is March 21 - 24. The Media Center has been reserved for the week, but you will need to contact Mrs. Ingle-Rector for availability. Test days by department are listed below:
Monday, March 21 - SOCIAL STUDIES Tuesday, March 22 - SCIENCE Wednesday, March 23 - MATH Thursday, March 24 - ELA Makeups - Monday & Tuesday, March 28 -29 **Please check your rosters to make sure they are correct and send me any changes immediately. This is due tomorrow, Tuesday, March 15. A link to the Roster Change sheet is below and on the Useful Handout page. If you have any questions, please let me know. |
